Wow!
I got an email from Rogers the other day, trying to convince me to download the "Rogers Yahoo Toolbar". It's fascinating features are as follows:
- Search the internet from your browser
Is there some other place to search the internet from, that I am unaware of? I realize that, theoretically, this is more convenient than going to Google and then searching from there, but even Internet Explorer has a built-in Google search these days.
- Know when you have new mail and read it with one-click
I'm glad that once again, my ISP has proven that they're a mere 5 years behind the times.
- Get to your favourite Rogers Yahoo! sites instantly
Just like bookmarks! Shockingly, I've chosen not to install it.
This isn't a real post.
I started this post simply to see if my webhost was properly updated to Daylight Saving Time. It is. I just noticed I could check in a method other than uploading a post. That's handy.
I'm off to C tonight, and in fact, will leave shortly.
The Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End trailer was amusing. It should be entertaining, even if it is Monkey Island in disguise.
I've nearly caught up to J for the purposes of partying together in FFXI, and sometime this weekend, perhaps, I'll get Patricia to give it a shot, using my character.
We've got 6 confirmed P for Sven Co-op (Myself, Patricia, J, Alex, Shmingers, and Milkyway, with Erin, Kheiran, and Gunjack (?) decidedly falling into the maybe category. I've fixed all the map config files to prevent being randomly teleported to a desert in the middle of nowhere. Also, my computer, at least, shouldn't cause everyone to drop. I can't fairly declare the same thing about my connection, but it only resets very randomly.
When it rains, it pours.
So, of course, now that I have a job, I got another job offer today. It was pretty much the same job, with lower pay, so I passed. But yeah, that figures.
Funny.
Last night, Patricia, Deb, Nick, Laurie, 3 people whose names elude me, and I went to Absolute Comedy. Good stuff. Could've done without the girl, and the second comedian. They weren't terrible by any means, but they weren't great either. The MC and headliner were great though. As was the food. If anyone's going to Absolute Comedy, pay for the dinner as well as the show. It's very much worth it.
I'm employed again.
Working on something at the moment, so I won't write an essay, but I've got a position with Dell, to start on the 26th.
My webhost broke something
BlueDomino broke the CGI scripts that run my site a couple weeks back, and I kept forgetting to fix it.
If this appears, it's been fixed.
